Ouachita Big Game Co. guides deer and hog hunts across 2,600 leased acres of steep pine ridges and clear-cuts west of Mena. The terrain is rugged — this is spot-and-stalk and stand country, not food-plot hunting — and it holds some of the biggest-bodied deer in the state along with a hog population that never lets up.

Hunters glass clear-cuts and old logging roads by day and run thermal optics on hogs after dark. Camp sits at the top of the lease with a bunkhouse, and every hunt is paired one-on-one with a guide who has scouted the ridge that week.
